AFO Announces 2016 Dine & Design Series
The Architecture Foundation of Oregon has announced their 2016 Dine & Design series, “where the Architecture Foundation of Oregon connects you to good people in great places.” The program runs from May through October and allows you to join friends and colleagues for a meal or drinks in interesting spaces hosted by architects, engineers, contractors, artists, musicians, and more. The program helps to support the following fantastic AFO programs:
- Architects in Schools, 6-week residencies for 3,700 third through fifth grade students throughout Oregon
- Senator Mark O. Hatfield Architectural Award for university architecture students
- Van Evera Bailey Fellowship for mid-career design professionals
- Engagement and awareness activities including exhibits, forums, and publications

Step back to the 30s at this Italian-style house, originally designed by the late architect Pietro Belluschi. Designed for client Charles Francis Adams, who was chairman of the board of the Portland Art Museum, the house reflects a more classical style than Belluschi’s later houses.
