Evening Walk in Historic Lake Oswego
June 25, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm$10
This urban walk starts in the heart of downtown Lake Oswego and continues through the oldest neighborhood in town and down to the site of the historic 1866 iron foundry. This industrial landmark is the only surviving stone foundry furnace in the West, and was restored through a broad-based community effort in 2010.
At the start of the tour we’ll view the site of a former mid-century modern shopping mall designed by local architect Richard Sundeleaf in 1959; now being replaced by a mid-rise, mixed use structure that is already changing the streetscape in downtown Lake Oswego. (The location of the St Honore Boulangerie is pictured above.)
This is a brisk walk of about 2 miles with several moderate to steep inclines on the route.
Fee for this tour is $10. You may pay by check, cash or credit card at the start of the tour. You may also use PayPal by following this link: http://bit.ly/22q0waD
